Hi, my name is Azucena and I'm a parent of a child that used LAF SLS virtual interpreter services at her online school.

There are several things that I like about LAF SLS virtual interpreting services.

Their interpreters were professional, dedicated, and they really care.

They were engaged and they did a lot more than just doing the interpretation for my daughter. They gave us resources, they supported us during the IEP meeting. One of the interpreters is a teacher of the deaf herself and fluent in sign. So, both of them being present in her IEP meeting really helped with identifying my daughter's educational needs and the school really listened to what they had to say. So therefore, we developed a really good plan for her educational needs.

In having the virtual interpreters really benefited us as a family because I was able to be next to my daughter and really learn some of the signs along with her so we can continue to practice those after school.

Like, if we learn a new word in sign then we were able to practice it later on at home and that really got me motivated to improve my signing.

So I think that, overall, it didn't just benefit her but it also benefited us as a family.

I wouldn't hesitate to ask for an interpreter with this agency because the interpreters were professional. They care. They truly care! They were very engaging during my daughter's classes. Like, one of her interpreters was

dancing along with her and that was really meaningful to her.
