What are the Benefits of Taking the EIPA Written Exam?

EIPA exam.

Many people ask, "Do I really need to take the written portion of the EIPA exam?".

Well, even if you work in community interpreting, the rules of professional conduct for educational interpreting are different.

For example, "What's a SPED Director? What's an IEP meeting? How does your role as an interpreter change as a student progresses through school? For example, a kindergartner compared to a high schooler?"

These are all items that are covered in the written portion of the EIPA exam.

So, I think it'll be very beneficial if you're going to be interpreting in an educational setting to do the written portion of the EIPA exam.
